When I decided to enter the profession of social work and become a therapist 45 years ago, I embarked on a lifelong journey of healing. This journey culminated with my long career as a therapist at the Veterans administration Medical Center in New York. It was there that My work began treating combat Veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD. Over a 33-year career at the VA I practiced both individual and group therapy with combat veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, The Gulf War and Iraq.

The therapy models included psycho dynamic, existential therapy, Jungian therapy and behavioral therapy.

My dedication, commitment and compassion helped to sustain me during this arduous work. I have concluded from my many years of therapeutic work that people do get better and are often able to continue their lives in a constructive way learning to manage their symptoms. Allowing them to develop and begin to become who they are and create a fulfilling life. This is the goal.
